7 days of mourning across the country: Central Govt.

The death of former President Pranab Mukherjee has plunged the country into tragedy. On the other hand, the national flag was lowered on all offices, including Parliament and the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The defense ministry is arranging to bid farewell to Pranab Mukherjee with official formalities. Preparations are underway to say goodbye with a military salute.

Pranab Mukherjee, who was admitted to a military hospital in Delhi on the 10th of this month, has been operated on by doctors for a brain tumor. Pranab Mukherjee himself revealed on his Twitter account that he had tested positive for corona before the surgery. He has been in hospital for 21 days since then. He breathed his last on Monday evening.
