• The newly appointed Joint Collector, G. Lakshmisa, said that the government will work towards the development and welfare of the district in accordance with the priorities of the state government.

    G Lakshmisha, who was appointed as the new Joint Collector of East Godavari district, arrived at the Collectorate on Friday afternoon and informed the District Collector, D. Muralidhara Reddy, that he was first joining in on the duties. Subsequently, he was appointed as Joint Collector in his Chamber. Joint Collector-2 CH Sathibabu, DRO MV Subramaniam and several District Officials participated in the event and congratulated the Joint Collector. Joint Collector Lakshmisha told media persons that he had the opportunity to work in a large district with geographical, economic and social features in the state. He was selected for the 2013 IAS batch. He said that the government would achieve a comprehensive understanding of all matters pertaining to the district and work towards strengthening the government's priority programs and delivering benefits to targeted communities and sectors.

    The event was attended by DSO PV Prasad, DM Civil Supply Sources Jayaramulu, Information Department DD M Francis, Collectorate Sections Officers, staff and district officials.
