The feature can alert and apprize users traveling in taxis, auto-rickshaws once their vehicle goes off-route and additionally share the live standing of their journeys with friends/family. How to use this feature?
Once looking for your destination and obtaining directions, users have to choose the “Stay Safer" and “Get off-route alerts" choice. If the vehicle deviates over 0.5km from the Google Maps advised route, the phone can buzz with a notification, and users have to compared with the first route. Then, users can even favor sharing the live location with friends and family directly from that screen in order that they may keep track of the journey.
