• Kakinada Postal Superintendent Alluwada Eshwara Rao said that all the post offices in the district will hold Digital Seva Mela from Monday. Melas will be conducted at all branches, educate and serve clients. As part of Digital India, the Government of India has launched the Digital India Scheme from July 1, 2015, to bring the benefits of the technology sector to the public. All operations in the post offices are being carried out digitally. He said that post payments were made through the India Postal Payments Bank of India (IPPB) and that customers can easily transact online through IPPB App. These services can be availed through mobile banking. People in rural areas are provided savings bank accounts through the Darpan technology of the branch post office. The services can avail from Passport Seva Kendram at Head Post Office Kakinada. The Aadhaar card registration, editing and upgrading facility has been provided at Kakinada and Samalakota headquarters as well as 26 sub post offices. He urged the public to utilize the services provided by the postal department on a Digital Seva Mela from today. Digital Seva Mela will end in a week.
