• Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today (July 4,2019) in the Rajya Sabha has presented the 2018-19 Economic Survey Report. On Friday, Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey in the Parliament on the occasion of the launching of the Budget in Parliament on the status of a full-fledged female finance minister. Chief Financial Officer Krishnamurthy Subramanyan has prepared the financial report. The annual economic growth of the country is included in the report.

    The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth is projected to grow at 7% in the Financial year 2020.In the Financial year 2017 forecast for finanacial year 2019 is 5.8%, against a general deficit of 6.4%. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently said that India's goal is to have $ 5 trillion in economic growth by 2025.
